It's been a busy August

Fortune has provided plenty to do.
August 4th I hosted another data center legislative meeting on-line along with Nick Philips from Applied Digital. Interest continues to increase. What a world we live in. We're continuing a slow roll with this. It's a huge idea, and it's meaningful to be part of it.
August 4 the Grant County Republicans had a get together at the Speedway. Good crowd and conversation. Interest is picking up. There is already a candidate that has announced candidacy for the District 4 House of Representatives race.
August 6th the Hamlin County Republicans met at the courthouse in Hayti. The session has piqued interest in many topics. A good discussion was had.
August 11th the House Republican golf tournament was held at Lakeview Golf course in Mitchell. It was a good time to catch up with fellow legislators and hear how their summers were going.
August 13th was the Sioux Valley Commissioners gathering in Clark. Several commissioners from the organization were in attendance. Also in attendance were Senator Steph Sauder, Reps Lana Greenfield, Tim Walburg and myself. It was good discussion about the session and also a peek forward into what the legislators are thinking about and working on over the summer.
August 13th Rep Greenfield also arranged for Dr. Lukkes from the Board of Regents to brief us on the USD School of Medicine impending move to Sioux Falls. The impending move and several other topics were covered.
August 21 I was invited to Mitchell for NorthWestern Energies energy summit. Excellent informational meeting about what's going on in the energy world and also much discussion about future energy resources and also about the coming impact of data centers on energy use, energy sources, data's impact on energy pricing, transmission and several more impacts.
Most importantly, on Sunday August 31 we celebrated my parents 60th wedding anniversary! Congratulations Leland & Gail Roe!
